Océ Announces VarioPrint 6000 Ultra Line

Océ has extended its monochrome VarioPrint 6000 series into a new, faster, and speed-upgradable product family called Ultra. The top-of-the-line VarioPrint 6320 Ultra offers duplex throughput of 313 A4/306 letter images per minute. It has a U.S. list price of $375,000 and will ship in January 2010. The previous VarioPrint 6000 models are upgradable to Ultra functionality and will benefit from its new features. Also of particular interest is a new Océ program called SpeedPass that allows a VarioPrint 6000 Ultra user to upgrade speed temporarily when high volume is required.

Kodak Rolls Out NexPress SE Platform

Kodak has announced a new platform for its next generation of NexPress products. Called SE, the platform offers improved quality and productivity through three new developments: a quality improvement process called the Intelligent Calibration System (ICS), quality and uptime improvements through next generation consumables and image development, and an advanced front-end using Adobe's PDF Print Engine 2. The new offerings based on the SE platform are called the NexPress SE2500, the NexPress SE3000, and the top-of-the-line 120 ipm NexPress SE3600.

Canon Launches Helix Production Workflow Solution
