Renowned digital capture specialist Jodie Steen of 127 Productions will review the primary digital camera issues for both digital SLRs and large format camera backs to be sure the shoot is "in the bag."

Get the right tool for the job. Depending on your needs and role in the workflow, your job may require a $100 instrument or a scanning spectrophotometer costing thousands of dollars. In this session we'll review the wide array of choices for instrumentation, including densitometers, spectrophotometers, colorimeters, plate readers, and integrated solutions like the HP Zseries printers, along with a description of their intended use. Real world examples will be given on best measurement practices, including the use of UV filtration, how to gauge inter-instrument agreement and verifying instrument performance to fulfill requirements of quality managements systems, such as ISO 9000. Critical issues around measuring and viewing color in the creative and premedia workflow will be highlighted in ways to make collaboration and technology work for you.

What are the best methods to use RAW? How do photographers and premedia experts work together to assure the photographer's vision is honored when separating from RAW? Jodie Steen of 127 Productions has worked on dozens of major photo shoots for editorial and advertising photographers.
