Canon Launches Helix Production Workflow Solution

After demonstrating the technology at drupa in May 2008, Canon Europe has now officially launched Helix Production Workflow as a Web-based workflow solution targeted for Central Reprographics Departments (CRD) and quick print/print-for-pay markets. Evolved from Canon's uniFLOW product, Helix PW integrates Web submission, digital workflow management, and prepress automation into one solution. This analysis takes a closer look at Helix PW as it exhibits the potential to become a strategic component in Canon's overall solution offering for the production market. Helix PW will most likely find its way to the U.S. and other international markets in the future.
