In this second session we build on the first Photoshop session by delving into how InDesign color management differs from Photoshop.
We'll enter the more complex world of color management in a page layout application that contains a plethora of multiple images and objects, each one of which that could have its own different source profile. We'll go through InDesign's color management features to learn how the application really works - not merely what buttons to push – in order to understand the level of functionality we desire.
We'll also gain an understanding as to what are "early binding", "late binding" and "hybrid" workflows...and what are the advantages and tradeoffs of each, and how to proof and print fully color managed documents to ensure safe file handoffs to color management savvy people.
Then we discuss color management features unique to Adobe Illustrator. Key issues include the place object and save document behaviors, as well as dealing with Pantone colors.
