Aaron Constant
VP – Client Services / Operations
Capital Offset Company

Aaron oversees all aspects of manufacturing, client services, plant production and scheduling. He works closely with his prepress and press departments to ensure quality standards are being met and oversees press profiling and custom curve implementation for multiple paper substrates. He has a very strong understanding of duotone, tritone and quadtone photo reproduction processes and appreciates the printed image. On occasion he assists clients with their color workflow and can often be found in prepress color correcting images in preparation for press. Aaron is also a professional photographer that specializes in copy photography and photographing art.

Capital Offset is a highly regarded private printing firm that serves the Academic, Commercial, Institutional and Fine Art Markets with focus on high end color reproduction and Illustrated Books. Founded by Burton Wheeler in 1936, Capital Offset is a third generation family owned and operated business with Jay Stewart, Burton’s Grandson serving as current President. Capital Offset serves a national client base of fine art galleries, cultural institutions and metropolitan museums. To learn more about them, please visit www.capitaloffset.com

As a quality printer, the expectations of our work is very high, and the knowledge of our clients often savvy, which means we need to be savvier than they are. There were many things I knew going into the program, but there were also many things I didn’t know. Within a few lessons I had a greater concept of color and the conversion process. Having a greater understanding of color management has already served us well in effectively communicating color and setting realistic expectations with our clients. Every company has room for improvement, and with the education and training of CMP, I feel our company has a better foundation to do so.
