This IPA webinar explores the value of standardizing on a file format and version for job submissions. We examine the advantages of standardizing on a predictable, stable, file delivery format while gaining an understanding of common problems and customers concerns when submitting files. We closely examine how to internally train staff members about creating final files from common desktop applications and define PDF, PDF/X, and the Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG) specifications including a discussion of picking the right PDF/X flavor for specific end uses.
